How did you first discover roller derby / what convinced you to join?
Whip It! Watched the film with a mate years ago, and while it was still on, googled ‘roller derby UK’ to find out if it really exists, only to discover a great team right on my doorstep!

What was your best Fresh Meat moment?
When we first skated backwards and I could just do it automatically. Ice skating lessons from long ago suddenly feeling very useful and relevant!

Most embarrassing moment at a game / practice?
Coming out of the penalty box in my first cherry popper just as the jammer was going round, getting over excited and forgetting all about the concept of “the pack” which was way over on the other side of the track and plowing straight into the jammer in possibly the worst out of play block ever.
