Leeds Roller Dolls v Whippin’ Hinnies
The Great Yorkshire show down was a great opportunity for newer skaters to get some bouting experience.
It was an action packed day, with seven 30 minute games. Even though we were knocked out in the first round, losing by 70 points, the Whippin’ Hinnies thoroughly enjoyed skating against Leeds’ fantastic B-Team who had organised the entire event and went on to skate against LBRG in the final round.
We felt that we skated really well as a team and loved playing, the whole day had an awesome atmosphere as all of the teams supported each other. After meeting a ton of B-Team players at a mixed scrimmage, hosted by Rainy City a few weeks earlier, the highlight of the day for me was getting to see those girls play for their own leagues.
